Partly the heat, day after day. Partly the redo work — fixing glitches I thought were already fixed.
I was fed up. So I wanted ice cream. Something I hadn’t had in years.
Rum and raisin.
Just eggs and sugar. Nothing else. No impurities, no extra steps. I had a blender, I had rum — so I bought raisins, prepped them, and let them soak in the rum.
From the moment I started, I could already taste how good it would be. I held myself back and let it freeze properly.
Then the first spoonful.
It was so good it caught me off guard. I could eat this forever.
I sat at my computer after that, eating ice cream, finishing the redo work in a good mood.
Sometimes cooking while watching something — just to shift the mood — brings an idea I wasn’t looking for.
I’ll make it again.
