The tool I first wanted to build — I built it, exactly as I’d imagined.
Then I wanted more. More features. More output.
I added them. The results weren’t what I expected.
So I started cutting things away. Somewhere in that process, everything got tangled. Untangling it took longer than building it did.
In the end, it was simpler than where I started.
Maybe it’s because I’m not an engineer. But the more complex something gets, the harder it is to bring back — when something breaks.
Keep it minimal, and you can always find your way back.
Small pieces, connected. That’s the shape I trust now.
This one left a lesson behind.
