Some points from the organiser’s remarks at yesterday’s study session that stuck with me.
- Put into practice what you’ve been taught
- There may be times when you don’t need to — but that’s a judgement call
- Everyone is different, so don’t compare yourself to others
All of that landed.
The community has grown, and visiting everyone’s rooms takes real effort now. I’ve mostly stopped trying to keep up with what others are doing.
I know what I want to work on. Thinking through how to get there, and actually doing it — that feels far more worthwhile to me. So I focus on my own work, on purpose.
After the session, I looked into the ideas that had been bubbling up. They were more exciting than I expected. I’m starting to put them into practice today.
Some things worked. Some didn’t. But I’m going to keep going.
Joining this AI community was one of the better decisions I’ve made.
